District 56 offers Club Officer training (Toastmasters Leadership Institute - TLI) to all incoming club officers. The primary training opportunity is offered in June and December of each year, with various "make-up" training sessions throughout the District in the following two months thereafter. By attending training, you and your club will also receive credit for the Distinguished Club Program.
You may also want to visit the Officer Resources tab at Toastmasters International for your officer manual and many other informational documents.
Below is a list of upcoming TLIs in District 56. Attend the session most convenient to you:
Many exciting things happen when your club officers or members attend TLI training
The officers and interested members hear information designed by the educational team at Toastmasters International. They also are able to learn from a trainer who has held that specific position in the recent past.
Another benefit is cooperative learning from the other members of the group who have held this position before!
The leaders then are able to take this information back to their club members so they will be able to work together to help the members grow in their communication and leadership skills.
In this way, the members who were unable to attend the TLI will also benefit from the training.
Benefits of the training include club officers more in tune with the ways to lead the members to achieve their personal goals of more fluid speaking skills which should help them on their life pathway.
